Description:This is a Hybrid Telework opportunity. These job requirements allow the employee to work at a Lockheed Martin-designated office or job site for part of their schedule and has a predefined regular, recurring telework schedule for the remaining part of their work schedule.
THE WORK
This position reports to the Sikorsky Line of Business Pricing & Estimating organization within the Rotary & Mission Systems’ (RMS) Business Unit.
Sikorsky Pricing & Estimating is responsible for supporting and developing proposals across the portfolio based on Request for Proposals received from customers for both follow-on and new business opportunities. A primary job focus is shaping, analyzing, developing and maturing business case analyses and cost models resulting in a comprehensive bid/price strategy. Additionally, this position plays a key role in developing negotiation strategies and conducting negotiations with our customers for new contract awards.
The candidate should possess a unique blend of skills to excel in a dynamic business environment. They should be responsive to cross organizational (including customer) requests. Specifically, the ideal candidate will have strong analytical, critical-thinking, and business acumen skills. They will exhibit exceptional organizational skill, demonstrate proactive thinking, operate autonomously as appropriate, while interacting extensively with the capture team and cross-functional estimators to produce superior work products under critical path deadlines.
The candidate will be an important member of the Capture Leadership Team, work closely with Capture Managers, Business Development, Program Finance, and Program Management to develop business partnership strategy, pricing strategy, cost analysis, establish and strengthen customer relations both internally and externally, develop initiatives to increase profitability and cash flow, and prepare cost proposals that are clear and compliant with customer requirements.
Responsibilities include support to LM executive review and approval of proposals, audit, and negotiation of proposals. The primary work location is either Stratford, CT or Owego, NY but occasional travel to other Lockheed Martin or customer locations may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
- Strong Analytical & critical thinking;
- Strong detail orientation; organizational skills including strong project management skills
- Self-starter with a “Can-Do” attitude
- Results oriented; demonstrated ability to work independently and meet firm deadlines.
- Team player; Strong interpersonal and communication; confidence to interact vertically and horizontally across organizations, with both internal and external customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Experience with formal or informal leadership in work environment including mentoring or training less experienced employees
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
- Knowledge of the Lockheed Martin Acquire Business & Supply Chain Processes
- Prior Earned Value or Program Finance execution experience
- Understanding of Forward Pricing Rates and rate application
- Working knowledge of ProPricer, GenBOE, and SAP
- Familiar with federal government procurement regulations
- Background including Audit or compliance responsibilities
- Experience with financial statement & business case analysis
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing and delivering executive level presentations

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $71,000 - $136,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $81,600 - $153,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
