About the role

The Compliance Supervisor builds and enhances compliance environment for GM Financial by partnering with all areas to mitigate compliance risks. Reporting directly to the Compliance AML/TF Manager, this position is responsible for the ensuring that new products, processes and projects are conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, in addition to company policies and procedures. The Compliance supervisor support the AML|TF program improvement, development and implementation across GMF Mexico & IO Compliance. Also is responsible for coordinate other Compliance projects relates to Strategic Plan, IT and programs enhancement.

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in law, administrative fields or related.
  • CNBV Compliance Officer Certification is a plus.
  • Experience in AML|TF.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • English proficiency, both written & verbal (will be evaluated during interviews).
  • Demonstrates proven extensive knowledge of and/or success in roles with managing compliance-related engagements.
  • At least +3 year of experience in Financial Institutions.
  • Ability to prioritize workload individually.
  • Experience developing, communicating and obtaining agreement on complex multi-work stream project plans.
  • Project Management discipline (e.g., Risk/Issue identification and tracking, multi-project status reporting, dashboard reporting and KPI/KRI development, executive management and Board of Director status updates, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access and Power BI.

What you will be doing

  • Coordinate and manage the AML|TF program enhancement & maturity plan.
  • Guarantee the prompt response of enquiries received from the CNBV.
  • Ensure the periodic reports to the CNBV are presented on time.
  • Supervise and perform Enhanced Due Diligence reviews for new and existing high-risk customers.
  • Review, investigate and present to management the AML|TF Suspicious Activities.
  • Perform activities related with transaction monitoring.
  • Development and perform the AML|TF Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure timely compliance with regulatory reports, such as relevant transactions, screening process, high risk customers, cash payment report, etc.
  • Prepare the evidence for the yearly AML|TF Internal Audit.
  • Supervise the correct implementation of the AML|TF Risk Matrix.
  • Supervise the AML/TF training development.
  • Support to update the AML/TF manual.
  • Perform AML|TF general activities to Committee preparation.
  • Support Central Team & Local strategic plan initiatives and projects.
  • Supervise monthly monitoring of internal processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop & review Mexico and IO Compliance Policies & Procedures.
  • Assess with the activities, matters or concerns of the AML|TF program in Peru.
