Import Coordinator - Part Time - Military Veterans

Now Hiring a Part Time Import Coordinator in Altamonte Springs, FL!

Part Time: 25 to 30 hours per week (between 8am- 5pm)

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50/hour

Temporary to Hire Role

Possibility to go hybrid after training but will start off 100% onsite in office

This is a great opportunity to join a global organization in a key office position. The person in the Import Assistant role will support the Import/Export Coordinator.

The ideal candidate for this role should have 1+ years of experience and background in transportation/logistics dealing with imports. We are an SAP software-based company, so experience working in SAP is a plus.

Job Requirements:

• Detailed knowledge of SAP order processing, procurement and shipping modules a plus.
• Must have the ability to work independently and properly prioritize workloads.
• Strong ability to meet deadlines
• Detail accuracy
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to interact with management, planning, customs brokers, shipping agents, warehouse teams, etc…
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (will work in Excel a lot within this role, must be comfortable with Excel)
• Experience in warehousing, inventory control, shipping, receiving and distribution system.
• Strong math and organization skills
• Strong customer service focus along with being a team player.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Enter details from the documents received from headquarters on import master spreadsheet
• Enter details on container direct spreadsheet
• Create file on network
• Track containers from Origin through destination and back to the port.
• Back up for import coordinator for entering orders with Haifa & Receiving inbound shipments.
• Updating estimated time of arrival on all inbound shipments twice per week. (Monday & Thursday)
• Updating Last free day on inbound shipments in the import master sheet
• Follow up with drayage carriers to make sure containers are returned to the port before the last free day to avoid detention (per diem charges)
• Cross train and back up logistics department with orders as business demands
• Sending end of month spreadsheet to the warehouse
• Assigning drayage carriers for inbound container shipments
• Quarterly drayage bid
