WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): Identify, investigate, and retrieve suspect products, donor deferrals, abnormal or unexpected test results, manufacturing issues, and notifications from other sources. Gain control of suspect products when indicated. Advise regions, consignees, and others to control suspect products using computer notifications, inventory systems, and telephone and e-mail systems. Respond to requests from regions and hospitals concerning bacterial contamination of components. Maintain Blood Services records under ARCBS directives and FDA, state, and federal regulations. Research donor records to retrieve the requested information. Work in a collaborative team environment to meet operational objectives while advancing donor and recipient safety.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare, store, research, and archive records in accordance with procedures.
2. Work with the submitting departments to ensure records are retained properly.
3. Destroy records per the retention schedule.
4. Ensure the transfer of records from one media to another is accurate and in compliance.
5. Coordinate with other departments to maintain and manage records, reports and documents.
6. Maintain and update records, reports, and documents in a database.
SHIFT INFORMATION: Full Time, Tuesday - Saturday 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM

Qualifications
Education: High School or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience in an office setting to include records management, filing, and alpha/numeric data entry, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: N/a
Skills & Abilities: Requires strong computer skills including working knowledge of desktop office software and demonstrated competency in proofreading. Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: N/a
Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
