This position offers a hybrid work arrangement. There will be regular onsite work required to support event planning and execution, and our hire will need to be within a commutable distance to our campus.

Position Purpose
Independently accomplishes all activities associated with planning and overseeing the execution of assigned annual and special College public events and programs including, but not limited to, summer programs, groundbreakings, receptions, and building dedications.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
* Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience with five years of
relevant experience in event management or the equivalent.
* Demonstrated successful work experience in a large and complex environment where
collaboration with multiple stakeholders and flexibility are essential.
* Demonstrated creative planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated mastery of logistical event management.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and manage high-level internal and external
constituents, including the most senior members and clients of an organization.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service ethic.
* Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
* Ability to prioritize and manage details on multiple events concurrently and in a fast-paced
environment.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Available weekends and evenings for event oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
* Staff management experience.
* Experience managing an annual event budget.
* Valid U.S. or Canadian driver's license and continued qualification as an Approved Driver under the Dartmouth College Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Policy.
