GENERAL PURPOSE
The Business Career Coordinator manages the related processes for the School of Business that provide internship and employment opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students. The Business Career Coordinator works at a senior level within the School of Business. This position develops and delivers programs that focus on career preparation that include, but is not limited to, interview skills, resume writing, articulation skills, and networking skills and is responsible for the maintenance of the School of Business Resources CANVAS site. The Business Career Coordinator develops marketplace relationships in the disciplines of accounting, business analytics, economics, entertainment and sports management, finance, healthcare administration, management, and marketing. The Business Career Coordinator will also arrange programming to educate students on careers in various industries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Initiate, develop and maintain strategic relationships with corporations, community members, faculty, staff, alumni, and industry partners with the focused goal of identifying, capturing, and securing employment and internship opportunities for Business students at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Develop and disseminate customized job search strategies and job search skill building (e.g. resume writing, thank you letters, elevator speech preparation, reference letters, application completion, and interviewing skills) for all Business students.
Demonstrate an advanced expertise that leads to the creation and dissemination of written material (e.g. online/print postings), the delivery of persuasive and engaging oral presentations (e.g. to employer, students, and leaders), the reporting of current and emerging trends, the expectation of employees and the marketplace, and the most-up-to-date recruitment methods.
Seek external and develop internal career related workshops, career fairs, networking opportunities, panel discussions, and meet and greet employer/candidate events that will bring together students with valuable workplace opportunities.
Inspire and maintain student focus for job placement activities starting from the freshman year and continuing until graduation.
Implement an effective data collection analysis and reporting system to demonstrate the success of initiatives and the ultimate outcomes.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
3 to 5 years of work related experience
Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring annual salary for this position is $62,400 to $65,000. This annual salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
