Assistant Director, Alumni Class Connections | Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - Military Veterans

Posting Description ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, ALUMNI CLASS CONNECTIONS , Alumni Association Alumni Relations , reports to and works with the Director of Class Connections to develop engagement strategies and provide class officer support for classes that are 11-30 years out from graduation by managing reunions and mini-reunions; works closely with class volunteers to build community and increase class communications; and collaborates with the Director on Explore MIT Program, Tech Reunions Programming, and Class Officer training and elections. Job Requirements REQUIRED : Bachelor's degree; minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in alumni relations or volunteer leadership development in a non-profit setting; able to recruit, motivate, train and manage volunteers; data analysis, marketing and/or public relations skills; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a diverse service-oriented environment; strong organization, written and oral communication skills; possess initiative; be detail-oriented, efficient, analytical, curious, creative and able to handle diversified tasks concurrently; able to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines, without compromising quality, in a demanding, high-volume work environment; highly professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information; proficiency with computers and standard applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); expertise or willingness to learn Hivebrite platform. PREFERRED : knowledge of Advance Web or other enterprise fundraising system and web presentation software such as Zoom.
