C130 Aircraft Mechanic/Crew Chief - Military Veterans

Position: C-130 Aircraft Mechanic with rigging experience


Description: Perform depot level aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled maintenance on C-130H


Responsibilities:


*Perform Depot level maintenance & inspection of aircraft including functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing all airframe mechanical systems their assemblies and components such as flight control systems, airframe, landing gear, engines, etc.


*Install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components.


*Identify malfunctions, troubleshoot malfunctions, adjust, repair, or replace electrical system wiring and aircraft accessories.


*Perform preflight, thru-flight, and basic post-flight maintenance inspections, perform as Refuel/Defuel, Jack, and Tow.


*Performs engine removal and installation, jacking, leveling, and other routine tasks.


*Read and understand data and settings from cockpit instrumentation and gauges


Requirements:


*5-8 years plus of experience with C130’s or large cargo style aircraft performing Depot Level Maintenance. Need knowledge of aircraft systems to include hydraulics, structures, engines and electrical systems.


*Experience with Depot Level Inspections


*Knowledge with special tooling like test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and support equipment.


*Understanding of Navy maintenance procedures and manuals is preferred.


*Airframe & Powerplant license preferred, but not required.


Shifts: Monday-Friday   6:30am-4:30 pm or 4:30 pm - 2:30 am.  Need to be flexible to work either shifts and Overtime.


Screening Requirements:


*Show Proof of US Citizenship


*Pass a FAA DOT Pre-Employment Drug Test


*Pass a 10-year Criminal Background Check


*Pass a Physical


Tooling Requirements:


*Standard Aircraft Mechanic tools are required. Tools need to be engraved & toolbox shadowed with an inventory list.
