Communications Strategist II | University of Idaho - Military Veterans

The position oversees internal and external communication strategy for the unit. The incumbent of the position uses university strategies and process to execute the communications and marketing goals of the unit. This position advances the reputation of the University of Idaho and unit(s) through purposeful and creative messaging that is tied to strategic initiatives and builds campus wide and public understanding and support for the teaching and research mission of the unit(s) specifically, as well as the University of Idaho in general. Additionally, they will serve as the unit?s liaison for leveraging and activating strategies in partnership with University Communications & Marketing. Duties may include: Advance the unit?s reputation through execution of public relations strategies that drive purposeful messaging and engagement in support of the unit?s strategic goals, priorities, and initiatives Provides communications leadership in a variety of unit priorities Write and edit a variety of content in digital and print formats Leverages central communication and marketing initiatives and contributes to the university?s broader content strategy Assist the university?s communication and marketing strategic goals with vision articulation, recruitment/enrollment messaging, Donor/Alumni communication and internal communications Other duties as assigned
