Position description The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Irvine invites applications from outstanding candidates for the Edward and Vivian Thorp Endowed Chair. The Thorp Chair is provided to recruit a world-renowned mathematician who can bring eminence, visibility, and leadership to the mathematics department at UCI. Candidates must demonstrate strong research accomplishments in mathematics and recognized international reputation as an eminent figure in their field.
