JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President Financial Planning and Analysis position plays a critical leadership role in Chubb's Global Operations & Technology Finance organization. Reporting directly to the DFO, Global Technology, Compliance, and Governance, the successful candidate will lead the Technology Finance organization that is responsible for Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Digital and Enterprise systems; along with other key initiatives related to enterprise delivery of technology. This position will drive financial strategies and decision-making. They will collaborate closely with the Technology executive team, provide expert financial guidance, and contribute to the development of the company's overall technology strategy.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, aligned with the company's business objectives, for the Technology organization.
- Create and maintain robust financial models, forecasts, and long-term strategies to support financial planning and risk management goals.
- Drive optimization and cost efficiencies to deliver maximum value in technology spending.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to the Technology executive team on strategic initiatives and investments.
- Partner with technology leadership to integrate finance perspectives into strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management to aid decision-making.
- Ensure appropriate accounting standards are applied to expense recognition and capitalization.
- Partner with the Accounting controllership to uphold accurate accounting policies and practices within the Technology Finance organization.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Support organizational re-design by bifurcating the accounting and finance functions.
- Collaborate with other departments for technology initiatives.
- Position finance as a strategic partner in driving technology initiatives.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for Technology Functions.
- Prepare and distribute accurate financial reports, including variance analysis.
- Develop Cost Benefit Analyses (CBAs) for technology initiatives.
- Report on the financial performance of projects within the aligned Technology Functions.
- Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer and other key technology leaders to develop the company's technology strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in the technology industry.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting.
- Proven track record in driving financial strategies and decision-making.
- Extensive experience in financial modeling and forecasting for technology organizations.
- Knowledge of expense optimization and cost efficiency principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and their application to expense recognition and capitalization processes.
