Position Summary

Sacramento In-Person - CA Legislature Legal Reporting

Looking for an opportunity to support the legal community of CA state? Join our team as a Part-Time legal news writer BASED IN SACRAMENTO, CA . Spend 5 - 15 hours a week sourcing content, writing articles and researching changes in the legal field for CA. The ideal candidate will in-person in Sacramento attending hearings or meeting with legislative officials to write and research content for Legal News articles and current affairs.

Salary & Compensation

Qualifications

Legal Journalism Experience or familiarity with the legal landscape (Preferred)

Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills (Required)

Ability to prioritize and work on deadline (Required)

Knowledge of legal technologies and changing privacy rules with artificial intelligence (AI) (Preferred)

Ability to report on timely legislative changes from the state capital in Sacramento (Preferred)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in related area (e.g. Journalism) and / or equivalent experience / training (Required)
