Job Description: Serves as lead for custodial personnel; performs manual tasks such as cleaning carpets and mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and polishing floors; serves as lead for custodial workers in cleaning and routine care of buildings; stores and maintains equipment; makes decisions as to work methods and assignment of workers; provides a safe work environment; performs other duties as assigned; works 2nd shift (5:45 PM to 2:45 AM), but is subject to changes in shift, hours, and/or days as operations dictate; subject to 24-hour emergency call; may work overtime. Will require successful completion of a criminal background check. Minimum Requirements: Six months in Custodial Worker 2 title or equivalent experience; documentation of successful completion of department specific, advanced custodian certification testing (examples include Cleaning Management Institute, 3M(TM) S.M.A.R.T. Program, or other certification program recognized in the cleaning industry as reputable); Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and to read and write common vocabulary plus; documentation of 100 hrs. training in operation of cleaning equipment (or 1 mo. exp.); 100 hrs. documentation of training in supervision (or 1 mo. exp.); or equivalent. The targeted salary range for this position is $16.90-$21.13 per hour.
