Overview
Productor Operator Blender uses equipment such as a dolly to load, unload, and transport material, assisting with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line.
This position is labor intensive, with a strong element of manual labor and a steady work pace required to support the smooth and continuous flow of production. Work is performed in a non-climate controlled environment, with both internal and external activities.
The current schedule is 12-hour shifts, with a rotating shift change from day shift to night shift every 2 weeks.
One week has 3 scheduled days followed by the second week with 4 scheduled days.
Overtime is scheduled as required.
Starting pay at $17.50/hr. and progressing to over $22.00/hr. in the first year
Responsibilities
Must gain thorough knowledge of all operating and safety procedures. Tasks that may be required, but not limited to:
Transport samples, raw materials, and supplies.
- Transport product by using a hand dolly and powder van (truck).
- Maintain operating log, prepare labels as required, and accurately record information.
- Operate pneumatic and other required tools.
- Operate hoisting equipment.
- Participate in Hazmat/Fire Brigade.
- Drive tractor-trailer rig to move NC trailers, and other tasks as assigned.
- Bending, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching above shoulder level.
- Repetitive pushing & trucking of up to 210 pounds and lifting of up to 55 pounds.
- Finger, hand, and other physical dexterity required.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and rotate from day shift to night shift every 14 days.
- Must be able to perform all job requirements in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Weekend work/overtime is required.
Qualifications
- Must have a GED or High School Diploma or able to achieve passing scores on the Work Keys Skills Test administered by CareerSource Capital Region.
- Must have the ability to communicate, read, and write.
- Must have the ability to learn and understand oral and written instruction.
- Must be dependable; have an acceptable work record including attendance.
- Must have the physical dexterity to operate equipment and instrumentation.
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
- Must be capable of passing task certifications, and powder van driving test.
- Must have a strong desire to work and have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
- BATFE clearance required.
- Must have a valid State Driver's License.
