Job Summary
Develop and implement change management initiatives to enable a seamless implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) across Medline Network. Oversee integration strategy, align cross-functional teams, and drive process optimization to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with IT, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure a smooth transition and improved performance.
Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between IT, operations, Sales, IM and product divisions. Provide direction, coaching, and support to achieve project goals, ensuring team alignment with strategic objectives during the WMS integration process.
- Drive process improvements and standardization across distribution centers. Ensure the new WMS optimizes workflows, increases efficiency, and enhances inventory accuracy, improving overall operational performance and minimizing disruptions.
- Develop and implement strategies to control costs during the WMS integration. Identify cost-saving opportunities through system optimization, reducing manual processes, and improving resource allocation without compromising quality or operational output.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks during WMS integration. Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions, monitor system performance closely, and proactively address issues before they impact business operations.
- Ensure that WMS integration enhances service levels, supports accurate order fulfillment, and improves delivery timelines. Collaborate with customer service teams to address any integration-related issues quickly, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Lead initiatives to integrate innovative solutions with the new WMS, such as automation or AI-driven analytics, to streamline operations and enhance system capabilities. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to ensure cutting-edge implementation.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including IT, operations, IM, sales and divisions. Act as the primary liaison between departments to ensure smooth communication, alignment on integration goals, and effective issue resolution.
- Develop and/or guide the development of comprehensive change plans outlining detailed change activities to maximize user adoption and minimize business disruption. Create and/or lead stakeholders and change impact assessments. Proactively manage anticipated resistance; develop risk mitigation tactics
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or engineering
Work Experience:
7 years experience in manufacturing/operations/distribution or supply chain with a minimum 3 years of leadership experience. Proven success in WMS integration or close involvement in WMS applications, process optimization, and cross-functional team management.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Change Management methodology/practices such as: business analysis & process design, user adoption strategies, change impact & risk assessment/mitigation, training/curriculum analysis, strategy, design & development; training & SOP creation
- Strong leadership and team management skills in cross-functional environments.
- Ability to partner and influence.
- Proficiency in supply chain optimization and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to manage complex projects and timelines efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving and risk mitigation capabilities.
- Skilled in cost management and operational budgeting.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
MBA or relevant postgraduate degree
Certification / Licensure:
PMP, Lean Green or Black Belt certification or a dedication to obtaining it within the first 6 months from date of hire.
Work Experience:
10 years in manufacturing/operations/distribution or supply chain
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Working knowledge of EDI data sets.
- Expertise in WMS implementation and integration across multi-site distribution centers
