We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position.

Job Summary

Dominion is seeking an energetic Nuclear Process Computer Systems Specialist to work at Surry Power Station.

The successful candidate for this position will perform the following duties:

+ Troubleshooting, testing, maintenance and repair of servers, workstations, data acquisition, and peripheral equipment associated with the Surry Westinghouse Ovation PCS

+ Hardware support and maintenance for the Validyne data acquisition system

+ Support and maintenance for the PCS data diode system

+ Scheduling and coordination of computer system changes, repairs and maintenance with Engineering and Operations

+ Maintaining accurate records of testing, calibration, and maintenance

+ Performing software maintenance including database modifications, system configuration, trending, and system monitoring

+ Cyber security duties including performance of rogue wireless network detection

+ Review, implementation and testing of changes to the PCS due to design changes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

2+ years process control or process computer operation experience. (A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications.)

+ Knowledge of operating systems including Windows/Unix/Linux/Solaris desired

+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot various complex components

+ Demonstrated hands-on experience related to power plant control systems and industrial computer systems

+ In-depth knowledge of operation and testing of field instrumentation

+ In-depth knowledge of electrical and electronics theory

+ Solder/Desolder electronic and electrical components

+ Strong personal computer skills

+ Ability to solve problems and to process information quickly

+ Ability to work from step ladders up to 8 ft

+ Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education

Preferred disciplines: Electronics, Computer Technology, Instrumentation Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Navy Nuclear ET.

Works in industrial power plant environment and requires maintaining unescorted plant access qualification.
