Position Specific Description
Overview
NextEra Energy's Power Generation Division (PGD) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our innovative team. This high-impact role will be instrumental in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to drive efficiency, innovation, and sustainability across our renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Vision: Provide leadership, strategic influence, and direction to achieve business goals through AI-driven projects.
- Customer Focus: Understand the needs and expectations of end users, working closely with geographically dispersed operations teams as well as centrally organized support functions within PGD.
- Product & Project Management: Manage the development and deployment of processes and tools to assist operations and automate workflows across PGD. Oversee AI technology value streams, focusing on cost, risk management, and meeting business needs of expanding projects. Ensure high levels of ongoing performance in production environments for all systems and applications.
- Collaboration: Partner with IT leaders, engineers, and business stakeholders to align AI strategies with organizational objectives.
- Innovation: Foster and support new technologies that enable business transformation and drive new ideas. Conduct external research to stay abreast of new developments and industry trends.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans, coordinates and completes large-scale or several medium or small, complex or long term project(s) within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
- Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
- Identifies issues and challenges, measures and validates results, and implements solutions
- Provides information to internal and external clients on moderate to complex issues
- Creates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Conducts external research and stays abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the project
- Provides coaching, leadership and direction to project team
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 4+ years
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
