Senior Technical Accountant - Military Veterans

Summary:

In this role, you will perform ASC 606 technical revenue accounting functions, including accounting for revenue guarantees and assessing revenue recognition for customer and reseller/collaborative agreements. You will collaborate with the revenue operations team as well as cross-functional stakeholders including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and business teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply ASC 606 and the company's accounting policies to nonstandard and multiple element customer contracts.
  • Document ASC 606 conclusions and prepare and maintain revenue recognition allocation models.
  • Integrate and establish revenue allocation accounting within the company's Workday ERP system.
  • Assist in determining appropriate revenue recognition for new and existing services in accordance with ASC 606 and company accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to provide insight and communicate revenue accounting positions and impacts.
  • Support the revenue operations team with training and operationalization of accounting policies.
  • Work on revenue team projects and process and control improvements.
  • Become a subject matter expert (SME) on revenue recognition and ASC 606.
  • Assist with maintenance of ASC 606 accounting policies.

Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree preferred. Master's degree in accounting, finance or business a plus.
  • 5 or more years of relevant accounting experience required.
  • Active CPA license in good standing or CPA licensing in progress required.
  • Experience researching and documenting accounting analyses for complex transactions required.
  • Solid working knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and experience with complex contract interpretation.
  • Big 4 or large national/regional public accounting firm experience highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with Workday is preferred.
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid planning and organization skills, ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands and adapt to change, ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $127,600.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
