Information Security Associate Manager - EDLP Triage & Response - Military Veterans

About this role:

The Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (EDLP) program Threat Detection and Management (TDM) team is seeking an Information Security Associate Manager to be part of the DLP Triage & Response function.

The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in DLP operations, cyber security risk and incident management, familiarity with regulatory requirements (GDPR, GLBA, CCPA, etc.) and security controls frameworks (NIST), as well as strong people management and communication skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and lead operational support for the TDM Triage & Response function
  • Maintain an awareness of the threat landscape companywide and provide security consultation in support of strategic planning and business development
  • Lead implementation of complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more lines of business
  • Be responsible for leading a team of around 8 to 12 individuals focused on triaging and responding to potential data loss incidents.
  • Partner closely with the TDM Cyber Insights and EDLP Solutions teams to identify emerging patterns of risky user behaviors and convert them to actionable recommendations for DLP rule enhancements and tuning.
  • Manage daily operations and resource assignments, partnering with security control stakeholders to reduce risk of data loss, continuous tuning/optimization and automation of operations to improve effectiveness and efficiency, as well as responding to audit and regulatory obligations.
  • Be involved with regular interaction with mid-level and senior leadership, business-aligned security leaders, business partners and stakeholders across the three lines of defense.
  • Lead the ongoing advancement of next-generation DLP triage capabilities, taking advantage of machine learning and other automation to enable a risk-based approach toward event disposition
  • Make decisions that move significant opportunity to create advances in information security and efficiency and potential risk companywide
  • Ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Manage a technical operations team
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Interact with senior Cybersecurity leadership and security partners including BISOs, front line conduct leaders, business leadership, all three lines of defense, etc.
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Information Security Analysis
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent


Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Information Security Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 1+ years of Leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Data Loss Prevention Operations experience including event triage and response, identifying tuning enhancements, etc.
  • 2+ years of Information Security Governance, Risk and Change Management (GRC) experience.
  • 2+ years working with user behavioral analytics or other machine learning technologies enabling advanced cybersecurity capabilities
  • Security Operations and Incident Management experience
  • 1+ years managing and standing up new operational risk controls
  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Experience articulating issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
  • Knowledge and understanding of threat analysis and assessment of potential and current information security risk/threats
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking or financial services industry
