Position Number: 010041 Department: Facilities Management (Adm) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 12 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The FM Tech Mechanical Trades (Plumbing) performs under the direction of the Plumbing Shop Supervisor. Responsible for performing routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure efficient operation of building systems. Assist in diagnosing mechanical problems and determining corrective actions by consulting blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as needed. Utilize a range of tools, including common hand and power tools. Minimum Experience / Education: Required Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. University Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Basic experience in plumbing or mechanical trades preferred. Ability to foster and create a team-oriented atmosphere. Proficient in English, including reading, writing, interpretation, comprehension, and interpersonal. Proficient in using Google Chrome, Microsoft Word, and Excel, and able to learn/use different technologies. Ability to effectively work and interact with individuals from different backgrounds.
