Immediate need for an Electrical Assembler seeking to work for a growing Cable Manufacturing company in the East Bay Area.

The Manufacturing Assembler will assemble or create sub-assemblies of electronic components and final products.

Responsibilities:

• Use hand tools to perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations.
• Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing, and fitting on assembly units.
• Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal/written instructions.
• Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
• Crimps, screws, bolts, solders, press fits, or performs similar operations to secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines.
• Mounts assembled components, such as resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel.
• Performs testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment.
• Interpret CAD drawings and instructions and follow established procedures.
• Troubleshoots and reworks malfunctions disclosed by test data.
• May interface with manufacturing engineering and production control to relay product problems and progress of work.
• Ensures all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule.

Skills ad Experience:

• 3-5+ years electrical assembly or electrical technician experience
• Strong ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Prior hands-on experience assembling electrical equipment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Able to effectively communicate with other functional departments, such as Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Sales departments.
• Possess effective organization and time management skills, be detail oriented.
