Please review the following job description:

Manages Truist’s Corporate cybersecurity legal, regulatory and industry compliance. Leads and develops strategies for closing cybersecurity management compliance gaps, partners in the analysis of legal, regulatory and compliance initiatives. Manages cybersecurity risk and compliance functions which include: establishing cyber polices and standards designed to safeguard the firm’s systems and data, performing assessments to identify, manage and mitigate cyber risks, assess and guide remediation of compliance gaps, maintain library of cyber risks and controls, and evaluate and track the cyber program maturity, security advisor to business segments and functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Partners to develop business cases and strategies for budgeting, planning, and tracking expense.

2. Directs and oversees relationships with business owners and technology leads to support overall funding needs.

3. Ensures that program activities are on track to deliver appropriate ROI and enterprise benefits.

4. Ensures implementation and oversight of appropriate risk management plans for program initiatives in area of responsibility.

5. Monitors and challenges performance of current systems and processes. Identifies and advocates for solutions designed to deliver value and mitigate risk as appropriate.

6. Analyzes and collectively manages variances to the plan and overall CISO organization and makes recommendation and/or creates action plan to mitigate negative variances or to resolve issues.

7. Articulates overall performance and initiatives via dashboard reporting for use by key executives.

8. Guide CSIO organization through the resource approval process in coordination with the Finance organization.

9. Partner across the teams to define and scope projects and complete RFPs to contractually execute on those programs across Truist.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Bachelor’s degree preferably in regulatory affairs, business, organizational or compliance law, or financial services

2. Ten years related experience at a large financial institution performing legal, compliance, or other duties such as risk management and/or project management

3. Ability to lead projects of moderate complexity and notable risk exposure.

4. Strong knowledge on cybersecurity risks, frameworks, best practices and industry/regulatory requirements. Knowledge and experience in use of cyber security governance programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree and eight years of cost and supplier management experience with experience managing complex, IT vendor relationships; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 
2. Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge. Sound understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes. 
3. Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices. Ability to lead complex projects. 
4. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems. 
5. Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective.

Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.

Minimal and up to 10%
