Job Summary and Qualifications
As Supervisor of Clinical Dietitians, you are responsible for the oversight and supervision of Clinical Dietitians; training, development and coaching of clinical staff. Enforces policies and procedures to ensure the patient safety and quality clinical care. Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including HACCP, CMS and TJC.
What You Will Do In This Role
- Responsible for oversight and supervision of Clinical Dietitians.
- Monitor employee attendance for timeliness, accrual of incremental overtime utilizing KRONOS on a daily basis.
- Coordinates and implements MNT related performance improvement initiatives for the FANS department
- Coordinates and/or performs a variety of staff development functions to include but not limited to: department specific needs assessment, development of goals and objectives, implementation methods, evaluation measures and instructions of education activities
- Acts as a coordinator for the Medical City Dietetic Internship Program
- Train and mentor new staff and/or dietetic interns to ensure consistent training of staff on policies and procedures
- Serves as the FANS liaison for P & T committee, SONPC, and other committees assigned
- Responsible for ensuring all required documentation is completed in a timely manner
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including HACCP, CMS and TJC
- Serves as a role model and advocate for AIDET
What Qualifications You Will Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required
- Master’s Degree in Nutrition or a closely related field preferred
- Two years supervisory/management experience preferred
- Two years of hospital clinical dietetics experience preferred
- Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Advanced certification (CSP, CNSC, CDE, etc.) preferred
- Must have Texas License by the Texas Board of State Examiners
- Registered Food Service Manager or Serv Safe Certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
