Who We Are
Health Information Technology & Services (HITS) plays a role in the success of Michigan Medicine by providing clinicians, educators, researchers, students, and staff with technology-related information, products, and support. HITS also provides institutional expertise related to IT strategy, security, infrastructure, and resource management.
The HITS Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) division, deploys, and supports application platforms, integration solutions, and computing devices. ETS is dedicated to advancing security, quality, and availability of services and data across Michigan Medicine. The team connects patients and partners with relevant data for both clinical and our needs, while ensuring electronic medical records are accessible and secure. The team's staff provide telephone, online, and in-person customer service to support computers, printers, telecommunication, and mobile devices.
As a member of the HITS Device Support team, position would serve as mobile device subject matter experts for the enterprise deployment of mobile devices and provide the networking unit support for wireless network, access point, and voice application (Jabber) troubleshooting.
At a device level, this role would include managing configurations and settings in Intune and Apple DEP, Jabber application support, clinical application support (Haiku/Canto) as well as building and deploying devices during the project rollout. This position would liaison with existing device and networking support staff, as well as coordinating vendor support of life cycle services.
In addition to project support, responsibilities of this role include creating and maintaining mobile device support documentation for operational staff members with the future state goal of increased operational staff presence in the daily support of the devices.
Primary customers would be clinical staff and providers located across Michigan Medicine.
As a Network Planning Analyst Associate, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Troubleshooting Wireless Network Access Points - connectivity, roaming, coverage
- Broad scale Wi-Fi Coverage Analysis - AdHoc requests or Incident driven
- Conducting on-site assessments to validate cellular coverage, perform in-building testing, including walk tests and stationary measurements, to evaluate signal levels for various carriers and technologies
- Mobile Device Setup & Deployment
- Coordinate user account setup with various teams
- Configure and support Jabber and Unified Clinical Communication associated applications
- Device level troubleshooting for EPIC mobile application issues
- Intune enrollment and console management as required for support
- Mobile Device hardware troubleshooting
- Workflow collaboration with ATT Life Cycle Services
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and/or experience
- 1-2 years of progressive professional experience
- Knows fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of mobile devices.

This is a day shift position, working Monday - Friday. As part of HITS, the candidate would report to the Device Support team located at the Michigan Medical Academic Medical Center.
