Head of 2052a Liquidity Regulatory Reporting - Military Veterans

Summary:

The qualified individual will oversee all aspects of the FR 2052a program, including governance, change and issues management, production and reporting, and scale readiness. FR 2052a is a key regulatory report focusing on liquidity, thus strong leadership skills are critical given the complexities of the overall process.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of governance over the FR 2052a program at Huntington to ensure compliance with FR 2052a liquidity regulatory reporting requirements, including FAQs.
  • Partner closely with Treasury, Risk Management, Information Technology, and other business partners to ensure accurate and timely FR 2052a reporting.
  • Ensures monthly reporting is filed timely and accurately with the FRB. This includes well documented reconciliations, completion of controls, and proper signoffs prior to filing.
  • Lead change and issues management, including identification, root cause and impact analysis, escalation, and timely resolution.
  • Lead projects of varying complexities, often involving various teams across the organization and with third party vendors, as required.
  • Regularly organize and lead meetings with First Line of Defense Senior Leaders, Second Line of Defense Risk Management, Third Line of Defense Internal Audit, Regulators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support and further strengthen sustainable liquidity regulatory reporting programs
  • Facilitate committee and/or working group meetings responsible for reviewing FR 2052a-related matters
  • Lead efforts to transition Huntington from monthly to daily FR 2052a processing as part of Category III scale readiness program.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide guidance to the external reporting team to ensure professional growth and development.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of liquidity regulatory reporting and/or liquidity risk management experience, including 5+ years as a hands-on manager, with strong knowledge of Financial Reporting, Treasury, and the balance sheet of a bank. This includes FR 2052a regulatory reporting and LCR / NSFR calculations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In depth knowledge of regulatory rules, including FR 2052a, LCR, NSFR, and Enhanced Prudential Standards/Reg YY.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and working effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and cohesive work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical regulatory concepts into easily understandable language.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects in a clear and organized manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal teams as well as third party vendors.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity as well as providing effective challenge as required.
  • Advanced experience with database structures, modeling techniques, and data management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Adenza (formerly AxiomSL).
