Expected salary range of $109,800 to $122,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Constellation Nuclear is looking for a combined Product Owner and Software Developer to maintain our training-related software products in Appian and other software platforms. Constellation maintains a full internal Appian DevOps support group to maintain the Appian platform and perform required upgrades. Selected candidate will only be responsible for training software solutions within the platform.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Act as the primary point of contact for training software, managing the product lifecycle including responding to user questions, determination of new software solutions, and enhancements to existing applications. (20%)
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Appian solutions for training software. Solutions developed will be in compliance with industry and company standards and best practices in industry software development. (50%)
- Maintain Appian and related software knowledge and skillsets by keeping up to date with new features and capabilities of the platform, including attending industry conferences, workshops, and developer meetings. (5%)
- Maintain Product Backlogs by soliciting and incorporating feedback from users and DevOps as well as host user and manager feedback sessions to ensure software products remain useful and up to date per organizational needs. (5%)
- Support other training-related technology products and initiatives as determined by the business. (10%)
- Provide support and mentoring to users as required to facilitate use of training software applications. (10%)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, STEM, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Appian software development.
- Certified as a Senior or Lead Appian Developer required.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product management principles.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to take the initiative to identify areas of improvement in training software solutions and work independently on assigned projects.
- Strong problem identification and solving skills and attention to detail.
- Lead Appian Developer Certification.
- Experience in troubleshooting and updating Appian code not your own.
- Experience with database design (SQL) to include troubleshooting database views and functions.
- Experience in building/troubleshooting Appian Custom Plugins
- Expert user of Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with corporate training software programs (i.e., LMS, etc.)
- This position does NOT have a remote work option and candidates are required to work full time from one of our Constellation Clean Energy or Corporate Locations. The actual location chosen is at the candidate's discretion and options are available in Illinois, Maryland, New York, or Pennsylvania.
- Position requires periodic travel to Nuclear Constellation sites (New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Illinois) as well as travel and attendance at industry software conferences and meetings.
