We are looking for a talented Remanufacturing Associate – Disassembly (1 st Shift) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in North Charleston, SC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Prioritize Safety : Consistently adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards by reporting hazards and using personal protective equipment, fostering a culture of safety among your peers.

- Ensure Quality Control : Follow standard work and quality procedures meticulously, performing regular inspections to identify and address non-conforming materials, thus minimizing costs and quality issues.
- Achieve Production Goals : Operate both manual and automated equipment efficiently to meet production targets, demonstrating a high level of competency in your core work skills.
- Maintain a Clean Workspace : Keep your work area organized and clean, performing routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks to promote a safe and efficient production environment.
- Collaborate Effectively : Communicate openly with your team and support staff, sharing insights and suggestions to improve processes, safety, and material flow.
- Adaptability : Remain flexible in your duties, willingly taking on additional tasks as needed to help meet production goals and support your team.
- Promote Environmental Awareness : Recognize the environmental impact of your work and actively seek ways to minimize negative effects, contributing to sustainable manufacturing practices.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information
- This is a first shift position.
- This position involves working on a line disassembling turbochargers.
- Units previously used are completely torn down and their components are salvaged.
- Operators who excel in this position enjoy working with their hands and are familiar and comfortable working with tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, air guns and small presses.

- Be dependable, adaptable, and able to take direction well.
- Be able to work well with a group of 8 to 12 people.
- Be able to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Be able to perform repetitive tasks while standing for 90% of an 8-hour shift.
- Flexibility; be willing to be cross trained to work in other areas of the plant, when necessary, to meet production targets.
- Be able to lift 35 lbs. regularly.
- Willing to follow all standard work and safety rules and policies.
