Job Description
The Immunization Navigator is a public health professional responsible for the implementation of the University's immunization requirements. The Navigator serves as a liaison, and one of the very first touchpoints, for Penn students, families, and stakeholders with the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to high level student support, this position reviews student immunization records, communicates non-compliance, and educates students on vaccines and University requirements. This position is part of the Public Health and Wellbeing team, and effectively represents Wellness as a knowledgeable resource for immunization policies, vaccine information, contributing to the health and wellbeing of the Penn community.
Vaccines are a cornerstone component of the University's public health approach. The University's immunization requirements are also the bedrock of access: to academic courses, to appropriate health care, and to preventing communicable conditions. The Navigator will be in a highly collaborative position and will embrace our core values of compassion, accessibility, respect, and empowerment (CARE) throughout their work.
