Field Service Technician - Military Veterans

As a Field Service Technician, you will lead the repair and startup functions of customer equipment, overseeing the installation process and providing hands-on solutions for electrical, mechanical, and environmental equipment issues. You will be responsible for performing pre-startup checks, making final adjustments to ensure optimal operation, and controlling the cost and schedule of projects to meet both company and customer needs.

Your expertise will be crucial in providing high-quality training to customers on the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of their equipment, ensuring they are fully equipped to maximize its value. In addition to your technical expertise, you will be expected to manage your time effectively while traveling extensively to different locations. This job will require flexibility, as you may be working varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to meet customer demands.

You will also need to communicate regularly with customers, providing job status updates and detailed follow-up reports, outlining project progress, and offering recommendations for future equipment needs. Your ability to troubleshoot issues independently and make sound technical decisions will be key to your success in this role.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in industrial operations, particularly in boiler systems, power plants, or related fields. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential, as well as proficiency in MS Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience supervising others in an industrial environment and the ability to work safely around complex equipment is critical. Veterans with technical expertise in mechanical or electrical systems, a flexible approach to work, and a desire to provide excellent customer service will thrive in this role. A valid driver's license, passport, and the ability to travel extensively are required for this position.

Base salary, $65K - $90K, excellent benefits are offered.
