Reports directly to the Program Director, Modernization - Main Battle Tank Systems.
This position is for the Program Manager (PM) for Main Battle Tank Production Planning. Responsible for the successful execution of the Abrams Production Modernization contract and the Abrams Facilities Contract within the allotted budget and schedule. Additional responsibilities include supporting management of contract, design change, plant planning, procurement, build, and delivery corrective action, and logistics efforts.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
- Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded (Put the Customer First).
- Develop and foster a Positive Organizational environment to build a cohesive team (Workplace of Choice).
- Act as the Program Manager, with full decision-making responsibility and authority, for JSMC plant modernization planning and implementation.
- Lead efforts to manage Risk on the program and lead Risk Review Boards, and present Risks to customer and GDLS leadership at formal reviews.
- Develop analysis to determine allocation of Management Reserve to reduce overall program risk.
- Develop and implement manufacturing planning plans across multiple programs that use JSMC.
- Develop new and improved manufacturing planning and processes to improve efficiency (Innovate Business Processes).
- Coordinate efforts of suppliers through Supply Chain Management.
- Work with all designated Product Team's to ensure key interfaces are identified and that stakeholder interests are managed within scope, cost and schedule.
- Disseminate communications to all stakeholders and keep management informed on status (Communicate with a Purpose).
- Expectation of significant JSMC (Lima, OH) on-site time.

Qualifications Sought
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher.
- Program Management, Engineering Project Management, Integrated Project Team (IPT) leadership, or related understanding and experience.
- Experience in planning and implementing manufacturing plant improvements is a plus.
- Experience managing efforts and/or negotiating contracts with customer, teammates, and/or subcontractors.
- Understanding and experience with Government contracts.
- Experience with Risk Management and/or Unit Manufacturing Cost Management preferred.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
