Requisition Number: F_240193 Department: Ctr for Science Math & Computer Ed-3076 Description of Work: The Center for Science, Math, and Computer Education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking applications for a postdoc research associate. The successful candidate will work as an education researcher on multiple grant-funded projects in a mathematics education (with a possibility for a variety of STEM education areas) at the undergraduate, graduate, and PK-12 level(s). The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to existing research programs in mathematics and STEM education, including contributing to grant proposals. Candidates will work on multiple collaborative research teams and will also have opportunities to engage in STEM education outreach activities. Depending on the applicants' expertise and college needs, there is a possibility for teaching a course each year. Minimum Required Qualifications: Ph.D., Ed.D., or Ed.S. in education, STEM education, a STEM discipline, or a closely related field (such as sociology). Demonstrated commitment to broadening participation in STEM /mathematics. Demonstrated potential for excellence in STEM education research. Preferred Qualifications: Research interests that: Include undergraduate, graduate, or PK-12 STEM education with attention to broadening participation in mathematics (o integrated STEM ). Reflect engagement in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Have practical applications for STEM education outreach. Reflect experience working on collaborative, possibly interdisciplinary, research teams. Will complement and extend those of the discipline based education researchers on campus. Job Type: Full-Time
