Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an open opportunity for a Configuration and Data Management Engineering Manager to join our team supporting our Plymouth, Minnesota location.  

This role will manage of the Armament Systems Configuration and Data Management Team that focuses on providing tools, processes and subject matter expertise for configuration and data management activities across our programs, suppliers, and partners for all engineering programs. Analysts are key program drivers managing product configuration baselines (Functional, Allocated and Product) and releases through Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, JIRA, Bitbucket, SharePoint, and system modeling tools.  

Position Description 

* The Configuration and Data Management function is at the forefront of program strategy creating, updating, and maintaining program Configuration Management / Data Management Plans and coaching/managing programmatic alignment to Configuration Management / Data Management Plans across various program or project Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

* Hence the System Design organization seeks a manager that will coach, mentor, and empower staff members in their role.

* Team members will be responsible for performing program audits and leading various Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings in coordination with internal and external customers – supporting the process of Change Notices (CN’s), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variance (RFVs) for the program.

* They will be at the forefront positioning their team members to be the program advocates and drivers supporting the generation, release, and delivery of Contract/Supplier Data Requirements Listings (CDRLs/SDRLs) to our customers helping to ensure that the delivered items meet contractual requirements.

* The manager will have the responsible to review and approve Configuration Management / Data Management Plans across all business programs.

Basic Qualifications: 

* Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business/project management, computer information systems, or library sciences & analytics plus 6 years of related experience in Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM).

Or, master’s degree (preferable in Systems Engineering) plus 4 years of relevant experience. 

* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* Experience working configuration management in a highly regulated industry

* Must be a U.S. Citizen and must have the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance to a level of Secret.

* Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and data management tools

* Experience managing customer deliverables (CDRLs) and supplier deliverables (SDRLs)

* Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000 and the proper application for drawing generation and Technical Data Package (TDP) deliveries.

* Experience with data analytics or automation

Preferred Qualifications: 

* Engagement in 1-2 professional engineering or project management organizations

* Experience with Cameo System Modeler or Cameo Enterprise Architect

* Experience with Systems Engineering

* Experience in aerospace industry

* Experience using Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira

* Experience with Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tools (Teamcenter Enterprise Product Information Center (ePIC) or Teamcenter Unified Architecture)

* Familiarity with Export Control regulations (EAR/ITAR)

* Experience with Artificial Intelligence and/or Data Visualization

*Salary Range: *$99,800 - $149,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
