As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the safety and quality of work performed within the construction department while managing construction efforts of in-house and contract labor for new construction, maintenance and rebuild projects. You will also be responsible for achieving the budgeted financial objectives of the Construction Department.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Construction work experience of at least five years, leadership experience of at least three years
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience, technical training in cable construction techniques and design preferred, industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E), valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within Company required standards
- Technical Skills: Able to manage emergencies and rapidly changing priorities, and to effectively direct the work activities of others under all work conditions, able to use hand tools such as electric drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, and hammers, knowledge of basic mathematics and electronics, knowledge of National Electric Code and National Electrical Safety Code, able to read general to complex system layouts from blueprints, able to operate machinery for underground/overhead cable installation
- Abilities: Able to read, write and speak English. Able to prioritize and organize effectively. Able to make cable connections by bending and twisting, able to operate appropriate computer or test equipment, able to perform job from high places, able to use a personal computer and software applications. Able to walk over all types of terrain in all kinds of weather while carrying tools and equipment, including gaffs, ladders, and fully loaded tool belts. Able to safely use weight-bearing equipment (such as gaffs, safety harness and ladders) within the maximum weight limitations of that equipment. Able to accurately measure distances using tapes or other measuring devices. Able to carry, climb, and operate extension ladder (approx. 32 ft high and 90 pounds). Able to climb poles using gaffs, hooks and climbing belt as needed. Able to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires. Able to operate appropriate computer or test equipment associated with position (e.g. signal level meters, ohm meters etc.). Able to perform job from high places (i..e., poles and roofs), dig in all types of soil, and work while standing 50-70% of the time.
- Skills: Able to work independently, able to supervise and motivate others, able to maintain confidentiality, able to manage multiple projects at the same time. Knowledge of Microsoft office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management experience of at least two years
- Experience in finance and budgeting
