Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Employee Health Team. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment. What you will do in this role:
- Evaluate each employee as designated by the Employee Health and Safety Program and written standards, on a consistent basis.
- Assist with the pre-employment screenings for new employees.
- Maintain a confidential file on each employee.
- Follows OSHA standards for Blood-borne Pathogens, FRC and implements immunizations and exposure follow-up as needed.
- Assist with annual employee health requirements including TB testing, fit testing, vaccinations, as well as management of employee injuries.
- Responsible for all aspects of the Employee Health and Safety Program.
What qualifications you will need:
- Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- 3-5 years prior Occupational Health experience required (refer to specific hospital job description).
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, computer, clerical, ability to multi-task; capable of daily problem-solving complex issues
