The Sales Operations Manager will work with our Regional Sales Leaders. You will support business lines in P&C, Corporate Benefits & Life, and Wealth & Retirement. Your goal is to optimize sales processes, manage sales data, and enable the sales team to perform at their best. You will be responsible for improving operational efficiency, providing analytical support, and assisting with strategy execution to help the organization achieve its sales goals. This role does not have direct reports and is not a sales role.
This is a full-time position, ideally working hybrid from one of our Northeast offices in NY, NJ or New England. We will consider a remote option for qualified candidates who can occasionally report to one of these offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations & Optimization:
- Provides sales strategy support, analyzes processes and provides recommendations to Regional Sales Leaders regarding best practices.
- Analyzes, refine, and implement effective sales processes to improve efficiency and results.
- Coordinates sales meeting agendas and follow-up with minutes and action items.
- Runs reports to use in presentation decks for meetings, including regional sales calls, town halls, and corporate meetings.
- Serves as the main point of contact for Producers regarding sales reporting discrepancies; escalate to Regional Sales Leader as appropriate.
- Acts as a liaison between sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Supports the implementation of new sales tools and technologies in collaboration with our Sales Enablement team.
- Attend and present metrics in monthly meetings and sales calls which could include senior leadership from various depts.
Sales Forecasting & Planning:
- Assists in the development of sales forecasts and monitor pipeline performance.
- Works closely with finance and sales leadership to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Supports the development of annual sales targets and quotas.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Develops and maintain sales dashboards and performance reports for leadership and sales teams.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
- Manages CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Standardizes and runs sales reports for the region on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to provide to leaders.
- Reconciles Salesforce New Business and EPIC Production.
- Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in corrective actions.
Assists with onboarding new Producers:
- Schedules training and onboarding activities.
- Ensures new hires have access to tools and systems, including Salesforce.
- Follows up with new hires to ensure smooth integration.
- Coordinates licensing and ensures they are kept up to date.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must demonstrate professionalism and presentation skills.
- Experience in process optimization and implementation of sales tools (preferred).
- Experience with sales forecasting and quota management.
- Familiarity with sales enablement tools and methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education and/or Experience:
- Advanced fluency in MS Excel. Proficient is SalesForce or similar CRM experience along with EPIC or similar
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales, or related field is preferred. HS diploma or equivalent is required
- 3+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, or similar role
- P&C and/or Life and Health License is preferred

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 – $140,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
