Our client just outside Binghamton, NY is looking to add a Process Engineer to their growing team! Candidates should have prior experience in manufacturing or a machine shop environment and come with at least 3 years of experience. Candidates will also be required to have a BS Degree in Engineering. This role is primarily responsible for designing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality. responsibilities:




  • Design and develop efficient manufacturing processes and workflows to improve productivity and quality.

  • Continuously assess and improve existing processes to reduce cycle times, minimize waste, and enhance product quality.

  • Investigate production issues and equipment malfunctions to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Choose and implement machinery and tools to support reliable and efficient manufacturing.

  • Conduct studies to ensure processes meet regulatory, quality, and customer standards.

  • Accurately document process changes, generate reports, and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Manage process improvement, equipment upgrades, and capacity expansion projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation.

  • Train production staff on new processes, equipment, and procedures to ensure proper implementation.

  • Apply Lean tools to eliminate waste (e.g., scrap, excess inventory, waiting) and optimize process flow, using systemic thinking to identify and solve root causes.
