We are looking for a talented Mechanical Maintenance - Level III to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Jamestown, NY.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensure Equipment Availability : By troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems, you’ll keep equipment operational and efficient.
- Promote Safety : Adhering to HSE standards and protocols helps create a safer work environment.
- Enhance Quality : Applying high standards of workmanship, you’ll support equipment uptime and perform quality inspections to ensure top-notch performance.
- Support Maintenance : Conducting preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, you will help minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Mentor Team Members : Instructing and coaching less experienced team members fosters a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
- Improve Processes : Participating in continuous improvement activities, you’ll identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, enhancing overall efficiency.
- Maintain Cleanliness : Keeping your work area clean and orderly contributes to a well-organized and safe workplace.
- Communicate Effectively : Engaging with your team and support teams ensures clear communication and collaboration, driving better outcomes for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Controls Safety : Recognize and address hazards related to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Incorporate safe practices and procedures into your daily work to reduce injuries and maintain a safe machine environment.
- Manufacturing Knowledge : Demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Implement changes in processes, equipment, and applications to meet functional needs and drive continuous improvement.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information:
Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests and maintains mechanical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and functional.
Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.
May work independently and instruct/ coach others.
