Job Description Summary
Miami University Men’s Golf is looking for an enthusiastic and driven assistant golf coach for the 2024-2025 season to assist the head coach in the administration and operation of the men’s golf program. This position specifically supports the mission of the University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Coaching skill set and strategy at team practices and individual sessions
Tournament coaching and team travel assistance (vans) at select tournaments
Assist with administrative and off-course duties including social media, alumni outreach, team building, player meetings, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach
Assist with Winter/Summer Camps
Assist with individual events and travel
Assist in the analysis of stats tracking
Assist with select recruiting events assigned by the Head Coach
Assisting the head coach in conducting the program in accordance with all NCAA rules, including attendance at compliance meetings, appropriate record keeping for recruiting and competition/practice seasons, and assistant in the education of student/athletes about NCAA rules
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Experience playing or coaching golf at the collegiate or professional level
Preferred Qualifications:
Clear understanding of Decade Stats System
Experience using Trackman and Foresight launch monitor technology
