The Reliability Engineer originates and develops analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes. Acquires data and analyzes the data. Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, instructions, and reports for defining reliability problems and investigates to determine the reliability required for a particular situation considering the cost limitations for equipment up/down time, repair/replacement costs, and availability of materials/equipment. Determines the cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures.
What You'll Do:
- Act as day-to-day liaison between operations, maintenance and other support departments.
- Plan, analyze, design, specify, prepare estimates and gather other required information for casting processing and automation projects in accordance with accepted engineering principles and practices.
- Review current and potential casting processing equipment and automation suppliers to evaluate application to castings and customer requirements at the plant.
- Ability to diagnose electrical, PLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc through trouble shooting processes.
- Analyzing equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends.
- Conducting root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of problems.
- Designing and implementing new procedures for monitoring and testing equipment.
- Developing and implementing new maintenance procedures.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure that reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
- Developing and implementing new procedures and processes
- Ability to analyze current work standard, determine if the actions are correct and assist in amending the documents and training operators to the changes.

What We Need from You:
- Analytical thinking: the ability to think critically and logically, as well as the ability to work with large sets of data and make sense of them.
- Technical aptitude: a strong understanding of the systems, equipment, and processes at hand. This includes knowledge of the engineering principles and specific systems used at an organization.
- Problem-solving: the ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Communication: the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Project management: the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively including planning, scheduling, and organizing.
- Bachelor of Engineering.
- CMRP Certification a plus but not required.
