Responsibilities
Position Overview: The primary responsibilities of this position will be to stage the production floors and move product to locations within the production floor. Position reports to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Accurate and legible completion of all required paperwork.
- Daily inspection and care of equipment.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Tipping resin.
- Receive and load raw materials, packaging, etc.
- Report damage of loads to appropriate department.
- Receive materials into inventory
- Gather and submit Bill of Lading's (BOL's)
- Return material to inventory from work orders.
- Issue materials per departmental request.
- Scan incomplete skids from changeover.
- Confirm scrap.
- Load and unload pallet trucks and rails cars as needed.
- Able to communication and interact with other departments; must cross-train on production floor and provide support as needed.
- Work Overtime as assigned.
- Load/Unload/Relocate material as needed per Inventory, Production, Shipping, and Quality Control requirements.
- Assist and support all production personnel as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must possess at least 1 year of previous forklift experience.
- Good work and attendance record at Berry Global.
- Valid lift truck license or be able to attain certification.
- Able to lift 35 lbs. on a continual basis.
- Good math skills.
- Able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Good time management skills.
- Good communication skills and team oriented.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs to waist level.
- Ability to handle and pull totes with fork truck.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, or stoop during entire shift.
- Basic knowledge of inventory system.
- Mus be able to perform job with or without reasonable accommodations.
