As a Solution Architect within PNC's Asset Management Group and Staff Services Technology Strategy, Architecture, and Innovation organization, you will be responsible for developing solution architectures that enable key outcomes for the Asset Management Group line of business, and corporate functions such as Marketing, Human Resources, Legal, and Audit. You will be based either in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH or Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.
o This senior-level position is responsible for Strategy, Architecture, and Innovation. It interacts with senior business and technology leaders, SMEs, and our business architecture team to bridge the gap of current state business needs with the future state objectives culminating in technology strategies and solution architectures that will enable business outcomes and drive transformation. In this role, you will draw upon your business and technology experience to partner with these key stakeholders to ensure that the strategic technology perspectives, architectures, artifacts, and roadmaps are well crafted, presented, and gather consensus. You will be required to understand complex business and system interactions to develop modern architectures that support large scale transformation initiatives.
o Candidates should have a strong background in solution/platform/system/application/data architecture, with good working knowledge of business architecture. This role will also assess and drive integration strategies to gain operational efficiencies, optimize product offerings and deliver a compelling client value proposition, ensuring that the bank's portfolio of capabilities and enabling solutions are leveraged to their full potential.
o This position is highly visible, and influential, demanding resources to be strategic, conscientious, and deliberate. This role requires proven thought leadership, networking skills, interpersonal communication, political & emotional intelligence, written communication, and the ability to understand and anticipate emerging business needs and technology capabilities.
This role:
* Develops solution architecture and resolves complex issues in a variety of projects through the implementation of requirements analysis, expertise support and project supervision.
* Designs solution architecture in large or complex programs, including system and application designs, software and technical architecture, in accordance with strategies and objectives.
* Provides consulting to IT staff on a variety of issues in software designs, system architecture and solution-oriented technologies.
* Develops solutions that account for non-functional requirements (architectural quality attributes) and apply appropriate architectural tactics to fulfil them.
* Communicates with clients and analyses business requirements and processes; makes architecture recommendations.
* Oversees solution architecture project outcomes, including hardware and software design; ensures that each project phase meets overall requirements.
* Explores new and emerging technologies and develops strategic viewpoints on how they could be leveraged to enable business outcomes, drive transformation, or understand their potential disruptions. Evaluates, designs, and applies new information technologies for business environments.
* Practices decision making and critical thinking - Understands the issues related to the decision-making process; analyzes situations fully and accurately and reaches productive decisions.
* Practices Enterprise Systems thinking & possesses a broad understanding of technologies.

- Designs solution roadmaps, according to business strategies and processes in solution architecture, through client requirement analysis, cross-team collaboration and problem resolution.
- Designs solution roadmaps, and system and software architecture according to business strategies and solution architecture standards/processes.
- Analyzes client requirements and determines appropriate solutions to these requirements based on business needs.
- Resolves routine to moderately complex problems and issues in solution architecture; assesses any potential risks and determines solutions to these risks.
- Works with other solution architecture staff, technology experts and business stakeholders to provide functional support to clients on solution architecture updates.
