The Physiatrist is responsible for providing day-to-day medical care, rehabilitation team guidance, and medical leadership for the inpatient rehabilitation unit. Supervising and teaching residents while they rotate on the inpatient unit. The inpatient rehab unit at Bellevue is a 30-bed unit with three physiatrists. Weekend calls are shared with two other physiatrists.
The role also involves providing outpatient care and supervision in our resident run clinics as needed for vacation coverage. The position requires participation in relevant departmental, hospital committees as assigned and resident teaching. This role reports directly to the Rehabilitation Medicine Chief of Service. Salary: $215,000. The salary listed is for full-time employment and does not include benefits.
Candidates must be Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. A current, active and unrestricted Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license to practice in NY and a current DEA License is required.
