The Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering (PME) is a unique interdisciplinary school launched by the University of Chicago in 2011 with the aim of translating molecular and quantum science into technological solutions with societal impact in health and immunology, energy/water/materials, environmental sustainability, and information processing. PME is also closely affiliated with Argonne National Laboratory, and joint appointment is encouraged when appropriate. The University of Chicago?s Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth (ICSG) is a groundbreaking effort uniting faculty from across the university to advance society?s understanding of our energy and climate future. The Institute combines faculty insights in energy markets and policy, climate systems engineering, and energy technology to produce world-changing ideas while also investing in the next generation of energy and climate thinkers, leaders, and innovators through novel educational programs. The University of Chicago?s Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering and the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth seek applicants for multiple open rank ? tenure-track assistant professor or tenured associate or full professor ? appointments at the intersection of artificial intelligence/computation, materials and energy. Tenure lines will be housed within the PME, or jointly between PME and another unit. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to secure an affiliation with the UChicago Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth and the Data Science Institute (DSI).
