The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the RTX Corporate Financial Reporting & Consolidations team. This organization offers opportunity for this individual to be part of a small team that prepares and files RTX 10-Q and 10-K documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission each quarter. This individual will be a key contributor in the preparation of the financial statements and disclosures in the 10-Q and 10-K documents. This individual will also lead/coordinate government census reporting at the RTX Corporate level.
What you will do:
- Prepare and analyze various financial statement, footnotes and MD&A disclosures reported in RTX 10-Q and 10-K filings
- Prepare share counts for the earnings per share calculation and analyze complex share count fluctuations in a timely manner
- Prepare variance analysis for Other Income and Interest Expense, net within the 10-Q and 10-K documents
- Review the Press Release slides (8-K filing) for accuracy and consistency
- Review SEC Comment Letters received by Fortune 100 Companies quarterly; analyze, summarize and present significant findings to RTX executive leadership
- Lead/coordinate government census reporting at the RTX Corporate level
- Work on other projects as needed (ie. Implementation of new Accounting Standards Updates, CORE, accounting research, etc)
- 1-3 days of quarterly travel for organizational meetings may be required
Qualifications you must have
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 2 years of relevant experience
- At least 1 year experience preparing or analyzing financial statements
- At least 1 year experience with US GAAP Accounting
- At least 1 year experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief all levels of management and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of or experience with enterprise finance and accounting systems, such as HFM and OneStream, and month end close procedures.
- Analytical, planning, and organizational skills to problem solve and recommend comprehensive solutions.
- Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations.

Work Location: Primarily Remote based in the continental US, or Hybrid based in in Farmington, CT.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
