Position Number: 003149, 007356 Department: College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences (Col) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 9 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate will be expected to teach in both the department's undergraduate program and the I/O M.A. program. Required qualifications: A PhD degree in Psychology or in a related field; an established program of research as evidenced by publications and/or external funding. Finalists will be asked to discuss how their teaching practices engage, include, and eliminate barriers to learning for UNC Charlotte students, and how their educational approach helps increase the engagement and success of all students regardless of their entry pathway into the university. Minimum Experience / Education: UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: Preferred qualifications: A potential for or demonstrated record of external funding for research; evidence of teaching effectiveness in courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. We are open to candidates with research interests in any area within the realm of I/O Psychology. However, for at least one position (this position is part of a two-position recruitment), we will prioritize candidates with teaching and research interests in industrial/personnel psychology topics broadly, including measurement/psychometrics, talent acquisition, and talent management.
