Job Description
The future of integrated training systems are being built, operated, and delivered at HII. HII-Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is currently hiring a Systems Engineer 2 with integrated training systems experience (ITS) to design, develop, and test maritime coalition surface combatant training systems. The selected candidate will support the Integrated Training Systems-Systems Engineering contract for the ITS In-Service Engineering Agent located in Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division's Dam Neck Activity Virginia Beach, VA. #LI-MA2
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Lead Tech interchange during coalition country integrated product team meetings as product owner for ATD training systems.
• Attend external meetings during new capability and requirements discussion for all foreign national combat system interfaces and Aegis Baselines
• Support the systems integration engineering management planning efforts and support of key programmatic and process documents such as FMS Training Systems Roadmaps and Training Interoperability Assessments.
• Product owner for FMS ATD interface specification and design reference requirement updates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as NAVSE Warfare Centers and Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare-International Program Office Systems, and other Navy, military, and multi-national organizations to discuss engineering level issue.
• Review concepts, plans, demonstrations, and other documents as required, providing analysis and recommendations.
• Participate in the Integrated Training System Working Group (ITSWG), Training Domain IPT (TD IPT), and other technical exchanges.
• Collaborate with foreign national stakeholders to discuss engineering level issues and topics.
• Provide programmatic technical briefings and white papers that may be presented.
Minimum Qualifications
• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR
• 0 years' experience with Masters in related field OR
• High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
• Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline
• At least two (2) years full-time professional experience working as a systems engineer in at least one major shipboard, non-propulsion electronic subsystem. At least two (2) years must have been fulltime experience at the system level. Six (6) years' experience in above work required for candidates possessing a high school diploma in a technical discipline.
• US Citizen with ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance and maintain an active clearance.
Preferred Requirements
• Naval Surface Combat System Aegis or Ship Self Defense System experience
• Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) or Advanced Training Domain (ATD) experience.
• Foreign Military Sales (FMS), International Trafficking of Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Export Compliance experience
• DOORS-JIRA configuration management experience
Physical Requirements
Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
