The U.S. Air Force Central Command's Network Operations and Security Center (AFCENT NOSC) executes the full-spectrum of information technology (IT) services management and operations for AFCENT networks 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week (24/7), and is tasked by USCENTCOM to provide information assurance (IA) boundary intrusion detection and intrusion prevention for USCENTCOM components. Comprised of NOSC operations, operations support, cybersecurity, network engineering, and command support functions, the AFCENT NOSC plans, engineers, installs, integrates, operates and maintains, protects and manages enterprise-wide network and systems architecture, infrastructure and services; and provides enterprise-level oversight to its subordinate and supported communications support activities. In support of steady state, contingency and emergency operations, the AFCENT NOSC also deploys personnel to locations in the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) to install, integrate, upgrade/update, patch and sustain its supported enterprise networks, systems and services. AFCENT/A6 has contracted NOSC IT support services in order to more effectively and efficiently execute its mission in within a constantly changing technological, geopolitical and military environment.
HOW A CYBER ASSURANCE / ISSM INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Provide technical advice to the USAFCENT Authorizing Official (AO), and oversee and direct related cybersecurity policies, research, governance, risk management and compliance activities. The contractor shall:
- Research, analyze, document and write systems security accreditation and certification requirement packages in accordance with applicable Air Force regulations and
- Analyze, evaluate, and recommend the application of Air Force systems accreditation and certification procedures in relation to existing and planned AFCENT network architecture at Shaw AFB and supported bases
- Research, Process, approve Firewall and Bluecoat Exception Request for implementation
- Process request for removable storage, such as write to CD, USB for US and FNs
- Complete accreditation documents for AFCENT as outlined by DISA Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP), USCENTCOM, and Authorizing Official (AO) guidance to include documenting systems architecture and physical network layout in writing and graphical presentations
- Maintain Enterprise Products List (EPL) and Accreditation Library for all approved products and systems and evaluate service level agreements.
- Assist with the completion of all accreditation documents for AFCENT Cross Domain Solutions as outlined IAW DoD and USCENTCOM regulations
- Research, analyze, and document AFCENT information assurance and cybersecurity polices IAW DISA, USCENTCOM, and USAF regulations and guidance; and assist in interpreting local policies.
- Track, document, and report all security related events, including, but not limited to, Discharge of Classified Information and Cross Domain Violations IAW USCENTCOM/AFCENT policy
- Coordinate and track Information Assurance Vulnerabilities Alerts (IAVA); review and report AFCENT compliance to USCENTCOM; and develop and implement associated Plans, Objectives, Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), as required
Education: BS degree in a related field
Required Experience: 7 or more years' relevant experience and demonstrated
understanding of:
- Risk Management Framework;
- National Institute of Technology and Standards (NIST) Cyber Framework;
- DoD and Service-level Instructions / Directives / Policies; and
- Cyber Security Regulations / Best Practices.

The likely salary range for this position is $120,702 - $163,302. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
