What You Will Do:

The F135 Engine Design and System Integration (EDSI) organization is seeking a Production and Field Support Deputy Manager to coordinate systems engineering support of Production, Depot (Scheduled and Unscheduled) Maintenance, and Field Performance activities to ensure that engineering intent is met throughout the value stream.   This role requires integration with Engineering and Sustainment Leadership, Internal component groups (CIPTs), Digital Strategy, PW Sustainment organizations, and the Joint Program Office.

  • Learn and understand the F135 data systems to develop strategies to improve processes while ensuring fleet safety

  • Have demonstrated capability to integrate various data sources to resolve production, depot, and field issues

  • Demonstrate strong cross functional leadership and communication skills

  • Be responsible for team member development

  • The deputy will have direct leadership of subject matter experts in: Production Stop Delivery Order Adjudication

  • Depot Sustainment Issue Identification and Resolution

  • Lead the Fleet ACI

  • Fleet Performance Analytics

  • The deputy will support the Production and Field Support Manager in Overall schedule development, Engineering/Sustainment integration for Unit and Depot level maintenance, Data investigations and process definition, Lifecycle tool development and design integration

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, and 10+ years of engineering experience, or a Master's degree in engineering and minimum 7+ years’ experience.

  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

  • 10% travel is anticipated.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering

  • Technical and strategic leadership experience

  • Experience in F135 fleet sustainment or F135 data systems

  • Knowledge of project management in JIRA

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
