Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Sr. Product Support Engineer - Aerial Refueling. This is role is based in Davenport, IA.
The Davenport facility has approximately 900 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace life support and safety systems components and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you’ll do:
This position is responsible for design and, development, testing, and analysis of mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic parts and components for aerial refueling and external/internal tank systems. The individual will be part of an integrated product design support team on new product development through full life cycle management, preparing and reviewing project product related documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality. Additionally, the individual will be involved in supporting operation, field service, suppliers, and customer teams to troubleshoot and provide technical support for legacy products.
Essential Functions:
• Provides production and field support for repairs, malfunctions, and other issues via Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
• Dispositions production and supplier nonconformances (NCs)
• Reviews, determines path forward for, and provides engineering input to change requests (CRs) and change notices (CNs)
• Provides engineering direction to and builds organizational capability of Production and Manufacturing Engineers
• Creates, updates, and formally describes changes and improvements to 2D drawings and 3D CAD models
• Develops, reviews, and updates product Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), as well as performs tests
• Support Configuration Change Board (CCB) activities
• Performs stress/structural, fluid, and thermal/heat transfer analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Dynamics (CFD), or hand calculations
• Performs tolerance stack-up analysis
• Interprets and produces specifications and ASME Y.14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing-compliant drawings
• Negotiates and meets deadlines while actively keeping stakeholders informed and managing expectations in a timely manner

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET- accredited program
- Minimum 3 years of Engineering experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
- No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within a 70-mile radius of Davenport, IA in order to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must either be (A) a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, (B) eligible to access the export controlled information without a required export authorization, or (C) eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required export authorization from the applicable U.S. government agency. • RCCA, CN, CR, NC, and similar experience
• Aerospace industry experience
• PTC Creo proficiency
• ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing proficiency
• Mechanical and/or electrical testing experience
• Creative self-starter and multitasker who actively maintains communication with and manages expectations of stakeholders
• Metrics-driven with strong desire to drive assignments to completion with 95%+ OTD and 95%+ FPY
• Structural analysis coursework or experience
• FEA coursework or experience
• CFD coursework or experience
• MATLAB Simulink or NI LabVIEW coursework or experience
• Mechatronics/electromechanical coursework or experience
• Hydraulics coursework or experienceDesire to become expert in modeling software.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink.
• Proficient in reading and producing GD&T
• Experience in writing test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
• Creativity, initiative, and self-starter desired.
• Strong communication skills with emphasis on technical writing and presentation.
