Position Title: Adjunct Faculty, Trumpet School/Division: Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences-Humanties Full Time/Part Time: Part-Time Description: The Department of Music at Hofstra University invites applications for an adjunct faculty member in trumpet performance. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be teaching trumpet lessons; a semester of lessons is comprised of ten, one-hour lessons within the 14-week semester. The successful candidate will also adjudicate juries and recitals and participate in auditions and recruitment activities for prospective students. Additional opportunities may include coaching chamber music, performances, faculty recitals, workshops, and community outreach. Qualifications: Applicants are expected to have: Master's Degree in Music in Trumpet Performance or Music Education. Significant experience teaching musicians of varied ages and abilities. Significant performance experience. Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in an educational environment.
